Italian_language

NBICF established a College Scholarship Program in 1986. More than $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded. Scholarships promote Italian-inspired and Italian Language studies for Santa Rosa Junior College students. Scholarship recipients are asked to volunteer in some capacity at an NBICF event.

The NBICF Scholarships are offered to students of Italian Language Studies in the Fall & Spring Semesters. NBICF will award three $500 scholarships to students of Italian 1 & 2 for the Spring Semester 2020. Click here for the application procedure. The deadline for applications is Friday, March 20. Consideration will be given to NBICF members and to their immediate family members. Descriptions & applications for additional SRJC Scholarships offered through our program are available by clicking on this link to SRJC Scholarship Opportunities. The Marianne Pedroncelli & the Jeanette Mancini Mitchell scholarships described below will be awarded this 2020 Spring semester.  

The Marianne Pedroncelli Scholarship Fund was established in 1996 at the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) with a donation of $10,000. This scholarship will be awarded to students in any discipline in which the students with majors related to Italy: fashion, wine studies, international business etc.  Students interested in applying need to visit the SRJC Scholarship Opportunities page. 

The Jeanette Mancini Mitchell Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 at the Santa Rosa Junior College with a donation of $5,000. Additional donations of more than $14,000 were received in 2015. The scholarship is for students pursuing a career in teaching or Italian-related studies.  Students interested in applying need to visit the SRJC Scholarship Opportunities page. 

Italy Study Abroad Scholarship is awarded every other year to students furthering their education through study in Italy. This scholarship was awarded in 2019.
