Monthly Dinners and Activities at the Italian Cultural Center

Sunday, January 15, 4:30 pm - Installation Dinner at Santa Rosa Veteran's Hall featuring Polenta & Stew with antipasti, beverages and dessert. Doors open at 4:30 pm and dinner is served at 5:30 pm. Come early and enjoy music and visits with friends. Come to support the installation of new board of directors for next year and socialize with old and new friends. There will be a surprise Master of Ceremony.
$14 for members, $16 guests, $8 teens 13-18, $5 for children 5-12, under 5 free
Sunday, February 19, 4:30 pm - Piccolo Carnevale - Get into the spirit of Carnevale by wearing a costume or a mask. Use your imagination! Doors open at 4:30pm ~ No host bar to 5:30pm ~ 5:30pm Dinner buffet
Menu: Antipasti and garlic bread sticks, Rosemary pork loin and Tortellini w/cream sauce, Balsamic roasted vegetables, Salad, garlic bread, and cream puffs for dessert.
6:30pm Parade of Costumes; 6:45pm - 9:00pm Music by Steve Albini (and dancing)
Prepaid reservations are required by February 15.

January 15 - Bel Paese Lecture - Sharie Sbrazza & Gino Muzzatti will discuss 2012 travel programs.
January 22 - Movie - Under the Tuscan Sun - While on vacation, a just-divorced writer buys a villa in Tuscany on a whim, hoping it will be the start of a change for the better in her life.
February 5 - Opera - La Gioconda - This production by San Francisco opera starring Luciano Pavarotti
and Renata Scotto.
February 26 - Movie - Big Deal on Madonna Street - A motley quintet of inept small-time thieves bungle the burglary of a local pawnshop in this Italian farce.
March 25th - Movie - The Keys to the House - Meeting his handicapped son for the first time, a young father attempts to forge a relationship with the teenager.

Squadra Italiana - the Bocce teams formed by NBICF.

NBICF Bocce Teams - We are actively supporting the sport of bocce in Sonoma County. Currently NBICF is sponsoring four teams competing in the Sonoma County Bocce Federation. The Summer Season started in mid-July. We have 32 NBICF members on our four teams playing at Julliard Park in downtown Santa Rosa. Squadra Italiana Uno, Capo Ron Misasi; and Squadra Italiana Due, Capo Don Raimondi; play on Wednesday nights. Squadra Italiana Tre, Capo Ed Forte, and Bocce Amici, Capo Denise Traverso, play on Thursday night.

The Summer-Fall season ended in October and Spring play will begin in April, 2012.

The Sonoma County Bocce Federation, SCBF, was formed in the spring of 2011 with 16 teams. SCBF is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting the sport of bocce in Sonoma County. New teams are organizing now for the summer season. To learn more, visit the SCBF web site
